A:Our discussion begins now。Do you know what means of the education is?
B:In its broadest sense,education is a social activity and has a primary as well as direct target
which education can affect the development of people's bodies and minds with consciousness。
C:Yes ,I think so. And in its narrow sense,school education is an educational activity and its primary as well as direct target is that the school education is understood by the special educational
institutions and executed by the professional people with purposes,plans and organization to affect the development of pupils' bodies and minds 。
D:Right。In my opinion,the education of person is a systematical project and now we should lose no
time in developing education.
E:From my point of views,education can promote the development of productivity,science and
technology,socially economic level and change the phenomenon of functional illiteracy and create
more advanced labors。Besides that,education can also maintain social and political stability even
promote the social and political change。
A:Well,all of you have different and great notions about the education. As far as I‘m concerned,the
economic and political level can also have a great influence on the education and we can't ignore,
such as,economic level can restrict the size,speed,human resources qualifications,structure,
content,ways and forms of organization of the education,meanwhile,political level also influence
the social value orientation,social resouces distrubution,institutional construct,manners and
mode of thinking about the education。
C:It's true。We can't just treat the education as a simple teaching means.
E:That's what I want to say. Education plays an increasingly important role in our dairy life。
D:I benefit a lot by this short discussion about the education。
B:Me too。I learn much about the education and therefore gain much thoughts about it。

a: children nowadays are really having a hard time.
b: how do you come to that?
a: well, because they are being forced to learned english in the very early age!
b: i can't see any thing wrong with that?
a: but they have to learn our language too...at the same time!
b: time has changed, english is now the most important international language in the world.....
a: yes, i have no objection to that, but..
b: that is only for their own good. it would give them a good foundation with their english learning....
a:but apart from have to learn english very early, they have to learn our own language too! that's double pressure!
b: it's necessary, in order to have a good future, they need to learn english early.
a: i think learning our own language first is far more important.
b: you can't be more wrong, learning other language is better start at younger age. when the brain is still empty with plenty of space to store new information!
a: i do not agree. i think we are pushing our children too hard. we are giving them too much work and too much pressure at such a young age.
b: you are wrong about that too. learning english is just another subject in their school work. most children only find learning english fun.
a: that's your opinion, you are not children anymore, how do you know?
b: you are not children either and how do you know they don't like it?
a: that's common sense. how do you feel if you have been given double amount of homework, and have very little time to play when you were very young?
b: i do not think learning english would take too much or any extra time for the children. they spend the same amount of time in school as before.
a: what about after school? they have to revise two sets of languages compare with only one before, right?
b: as i have put earlier, that's just another subject for them. the amount of homework would be still reasonable and bearable for all the children.
a: oh, i don't think we will ever come to any conclusion of compromise. let's stop our argument right here.
b: yes, before it harms our friendship. if we can't convince each other then betterjust leave the matter alone. so, still friends?
a: yes, we are still friends, let's forget about what have been argued about!
