The Tomb-sweeping Day
The Tomb-sweeping Day is a day for worshipping ancestors and sweeping away dirt on graves. In ancient times, people worshipped ancestors on the Cold Food Day which is close to Qingming ( a kind of solar term) to show their respect. Later, the Cold Food Day was replaced by the Qingming Day (also called the Tomb-sweeping Day). Nowadays, people still visit ancestors, go hiking, plant trees, or fly a kite on this day.
