我个人觉得，好像不是很好。。

rate的意思是“比率，率”，常见的有
the brith rate 出生率 the death rate 死亡率 the divorce rate 离婚率 the interest rate 利率
这些是习惯上用rate来表示的。

而proportion比例；部分，份儿；侧重的是“一部分”“有一定比例的sth."
常见的是 a proportion of sth. 一部分的....
A high proportion of sth. 很大一部分的....
the proportion of sth. is .... 。。。的比例是.....

所以还是用习惯用法 rate比较好~
