2009年07月30日上午10时15分，广州猎德大桥通车。猎德大桥系统工程南起海珠区江海大道与新光快速路接顺，向北沿江海大道高架桥跨越新港路、双塔路、阅江路后接猎德大桥跨越珠江、临江大道，在猎德大道下地后以隧道形式下穿花城大道至天河区金穗路以南止，线路全长约4.3公里。除了沟通番禺、海珠、天河三区，大桥还可以为琶洲会展中心、新电视观光塔、珠江新城核心区等一系列标志性建筑提供重要的交通保障。
