Deng Yaping was born on february 6th,1973. She began to play table tennis when she was just five years old. And when she grew up, she started to play table tennis at Henan table team in 1983. Five years late, she went out of China and played the game on the International stage and had great achievements. In 1997, she quit the game and went to Tsinghua University to continue her study. She was majoring in English and managerment at that time. However, she still became the number one women's singles player of the ITTF from the year 1993 to 1998.
