Lined up against the wall, there were long thin wires attached to metal spheres. In the cen珐缉粹垦诔旧达驯惮沫tre of the hall, there were a number of tall structures which contained coloured lights. 我不明白的地方是 为什么前一句的attached 前面不加which 这里的which是可加可不加？还是有什么说法？ 谢谢了

attached to metal spheres是过去分词短语作wires的后置定语，不是定语从句(的省略）， 但与定语从句的作用相用．

there were long thin wires which were attached to metal spheres. (定语从句）
