Dear Tom,

I am really glad that you sent me an e-mail. If you want to know about my father, here's a brief description of him.

My father is born in China in a remote village. My grand-parents were farmers and even though they worked hard all year around, there is still little earning with barely enough to feed the family. So, you can guess that throughout my father's childhood, he lived in poverty. Thus, my father ambitioned to become rich in future so as to be able to provide more for his family. He was an industrious student and managed to get into an university, even though few people could attend an university those days. Of course, my grangfather has to give out much of their hard-earned money for expensive.university fees.

Luckily, after graduation, my father was able to find an occupation as an engineer after graduation. He moved my grand parents to a new house with better quality of life. Then, he married my mother and had me. Now, he has a stable income and a happy family.

My father has always been my idol for being intelligent, hardworking and persevering. I hope to grow up to be like him. What do you think of him?

My father was born in a small village in northern China. My grandparents were very hard-working but also very poor. Poverty made people mature quickly, so my father began helping out his family while he was still in school. My father had always been a really smart person when he grew up. After his graduation from one of the top universities, he opened up his own business in the big city near his hometown and became a successful businessman. Now my grandparents live with us in the city and we are really happy together. So that is the story of my father. There are a great deal I could learn from him. Nice talking to you.
