the effect of pH on collagen flexibility determined from vis-coelastic measurements by the use of two solvents,water and
50% glycerol[7].Forgacs et al.studied the assembly of collagen
matrices as a sol–gel phase transition by means of rheometry[8].
Yoshimura et al.investigated the dynamic viscoelastic character-ization of alkali-solubilized collagen[1]and pepsin-solubilized
collagen[9]from shark skin.In the present work,we investigated
the effect of concentration and temperature on the rheolog-ical behavior of collagen solutions,and attempted to apply
the time–temperature superposition (TTS) and to understand
the relationship between dynamic rheological characteristics
and material properties (temperature,concentration,etc.).When
new biopolymer materials based on collagen were desired and
manufactured into injection materials or solid implants,these
fundamental data should provide available information for the
manipulation of good and stable products.
