1. 是is it really  for  ，不过这是疑问句，要把be动词ti前    ，这里是一个语法 it + be +adj +for sb to do sth  对于某人来说做什么怎么样的,其中的for 是修饰后面的 to do sth,

  还有有一个是 it + be +adj +of + sb to do sth  其中of 修饰sb 的....  我记得老师是这样讲的 ....还有 be动词要根据时态来变化....

对于我来说学好英语是很困难的   翻译为it is  difficult for me to learn English well

 2.it is so long   据意思 ，本人觉得这是一个强调句型 it +Be+强调部分+that /wo +其它...
