20th Century Fox Animation is the animation division of film studio 20th Century Fox.
History
Fox Animation Studios
From 1992–2000, they operated Fox Animation Studios, a traditional animation studio which was started to compete with Walt Disney Animation Studios, which was experiencing great success at the time with films such as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King. The Fox studio, however, was not as successful. Their first feature Anastasia, although critically acclaimed as being of Disney caliber and often mistaken as a Disney film, barely made a profit, taking in $58 million at the American box office on an estimated $53 million dollar budget. Their next feature, Titan A.E., was a large financial loss, taking back only $22 million of its estimated $75 million budget. The lack of box office success, coupled with the rise of computer animation, led Fox to shut down the Fox Animation Studio after 2000.
Blue Sky Studios
At present, Fox owns Blue Sky Studios, a computer animation company. Fox has had much more success with Blue Sky, and the box office receipts of their films are competitive with that of Pixar's. They have currently released three features: 2002's Ice Age, 2005's Robots, and 2006's Ice Age: The Meltdown. Their latest film is Horton Hears A Who!, an adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book that was released March 14, 2008 and earned $45,012,998 in the opening weekend.

公司名称：20世纪福克斯电影公司 (20th Century-Fox Film Corp.)
公司历史：电影制片和发行公司。成立于1935年5月，由默片时代的大公司福克斯电影公司和20世纪影片公司合并而成，是30-40年代好柒坞8家大电影公司之一。当时公司拥有导演E.刘别谦、E.卡善、O.普雷明格等人，并拥有不少受观众欢迎的电影明星，如S.邓波儿、L.杨、H.方达、G.佩克等，他们曾拍摄了一些有一定质量的影片。这一时期，公司生产的影片样式不一，艺术质量也参差不齐，但影片的技术质量都比较高。1940年J.福特为公司导演的《怒火之花》可作为艺术与技术质量俱佳的例子。从50年代开始，美国电影业进入衰退时期。该公司为了与新兴的电视抗衡，曾致力于研究宽银幕在商业上的应用。1953年9月16日根据圣经故事改编拍摄的宽银幕故事片《长袍》在纽约罗克亚影院上映，这第一部宽银幕故事片不仅是该公司成立以来最赚钱的影片，也是电影从默片进入有声片以来在技术上的一次突破。60年代，摄制了美国电影史上成本空前的影片《克娄巴特技》(1963，一译《埃及艳后》)，遭到失败。1972年又推出《海神号遇险记》，开创了泛滥于70年代的灾难片样式。70年代后期，该公司拍片很少。1981年大石油商M.戴维斯买下了这家公司。
1985年,默多克买下了20世纪福克斯电影公司.可他看中的不是电影公司，而是该公司下属的福克斯电视台。福克斯电视网所拥有的会员数从最初的12家电视台发展到188家，与美国电视传媒传统三强ABC、NBC和CBS齐名。
1999年，默多克与Y AHOO 签定合作协议，YA-HOO 按合同规定负责推广福克斯公司的相关业务，包括福克斯有线电视，福克斯电视和福克斯新闻，福克斯音乐和21世纪福克斯电影公司的品牌与产品的宣传等。从而扩大了新闻集团的宣传渠道，使新闻集团的内容能够接触更多的受众
