Alongside the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, the Li River, China’s giant pandas are becoming a must see attraction of China. In my opinion, panda is widely and increasingly used as the emblem of China.
Firstly, The panda is our national symbol although it does not stand for freedom, justice or any other spirits. It is just a distinctive and lovely animal which only we have and everybody loves it. The colors of giant pandas are limited only within black and white, but those colors are well distributed on its body and make it looked extraordinarily cute. The panda is the logo for the WWF and is known as a national treasure in China. They have received excellent reviews from their previous customers.
Secondly, in recent decades the giant panda has also served as an emblem for the country. Its image appears on a large number of modern Chinese commemorative silver, gold, and platinum coins. The toy pandas were also used as our gifts during the Asian Olympic Games in 1992.
The last but not the least, giant pandas remain an endangered species. There are only over a thousand giant pandas in the world, so the giant panda is an extremely precious animal which is in severe danger. In China, wildlife reserves have been established to ensure that the remaining wild pandas have space to live, eat, and move around without human interference. Furthermore, regarding giant pandas as our national symbol can call on people to protect them from disappearing.
In a short, I surely agreed that giant pandas become a national symbol of China.
