assign 一般是指分派任务，时间等抽象的东西吧，还有赋值的意思
allocate 是指分配具体的东西，有指定的意思

平常的话差别应该不是非常大在计算机运用中对比有些差异吧 assign是将驱动器符重定向至第二个驱动器符 allocate是指单纯的分配吧

我不想搬词典的东西来,不过如果你从英文的角度去考虑的话,会容易理解很多: 1.allocate : to give sth officially to sb/sth for a particular purpose eg: a large sum has been allocated for buying new books for the library.已划拨了一大笔款子给图书馆购买新书. 2. assign: to give sb sth that they can use, or some work or responsibility 分派某物/工作/任务 3. assign: to provide a person for a particular task or position 指派,委派 the teacher assigned a different task to each of the children. 老师给每个儿童布置的作业都不相同.
