This bridge is three times longer than that one.

其中,我记得老师说 是它的三倍就是比它长两倍,也就是说第二种方法应该这样翻译：
This bridge is twice longer than that one.
我看网上有的也说用three times ,可我觉得老师讲的是对的
那究竟怎么解释呢?
