Today I would like to talk about mainly Difference between Chinese and Western desserts.
Dessert is a very popular food with high calories, it is often eaten after the main meal as a kind of enjoyment, while many others enjoy the dessert as snacks.
Common desserts include Double Skin Milk,Tanghulu, Tiramisu and chocolate.
However what are the differences between the Chinese desserts and Western desserts?
First of all, the ingredients are vastly different, with the Chinese desserts employing a wide range of materials, many of which are natural, for example, the mooncake can be made with up to dozens of ingredients such as the rose petals, black sesame, sweet olive etc. While the Western desserts mainly use butter, cream, cocoa power.
Secondly, Chinese desserts have many different shapes and forms, such as the Mung Bean Soup, Sweetheart Cake, Tanghulu, Double skin milk and many more. The Western desserts, on the other hand are mostly cakes or breads, falling under the category of pastries.
Also, the production methods varies as well, with the Chinese desserts being mostly fried, deep-fried and steamed, whereas the Western desserts are mainly baked.
However, despite the differences, both the Chinese and the Western desserts bring us happiness and enjoyment.
