At present, more and more people think that men and women should enjoy equal rights. Many countries even have passed laws to guarantee such an equality between different sexes. Accordingly, there are now no longer certain jobs or certain places that are closed to women. The number of business women, female doctors, scientists and leaders is considerably increasing.

　　There are three main reasons for the improvement of women's social position. First, women themselves have been persistently struggling for equality. Second, men also realize that women are not born inferior to them. Women can do a great many things as well as or even better than men. Third, social development has produced a great demand for women's participation in every field.

　　In spite of these changes the liberation of women has not been completely realized. Prejudice against women is deeply rooted still in some people's mind, especially in distant rural areas. So, mankind should take further painstaking efforts to really realize equality.

We had always wanted to be treated equally,no matter who we are or what believes we held. but, ironically Women had gained their rights around one hundred year ago.What makes people think Women are weaker than man? let's have a look around the world which some countries still held their believes. In china, far far back to the age when people still held ancient believes strongly.What they think was right was to keep women inside the house because they knew nothing about what's going on. It was ironically to say that they think nothing or cant think what men does. because back to that age, women arent allowed to get educated! it was unfair to the women,since people nowadays knew that we all share the same rights to get educated. In europe, women are treated as baby machine, Katherine Mansfield's Stories had showed us some great examples. such as women's beauty was ruined after the marriage,they married to the men they disliked as a punishment. their life was distroyed by childbirth which i could say,many many times of childbirth. They are also expected to look after children and serve their husbands. In muslin countries also, that women need to cover their face up due to religious reason,women also get killed unreasonly,just because the husband think she had cheated on him!How cruel was that? Nowadays, we still can see the unequally case,such as female president was so few that you can use your fingers to count them. many CEO was mainly men. In countrysides of China whereas new born baby girls was adopted.What makes people think this was basically women are weaker than male physically,it was right and our cultures does potrays women as a softer figure than men. But bear in mind that we all come from female,who was the great person in the world- mother.we even addressed our beloved earth as earth mother, so have a think about this,while i will sit and enjoy my tea and see.

：lsy1chj2wdh3 Women Women are playing an increasingly important role in society. Successful women such as government officials, scientists, athletes, teachers and doctors are found everywhere. We can say that many jobs which were done only by men in the past can be done equally well by women now. women are making their influence felt in all walks of life(各行各业). With the changes in their social role, women’s position in the family has been improved as well. The husband is no longer the only economic provider of the family income and the wife is no longer economically dependent. The cope(妥善处理) with the problems of daily life together, and share happiness and sadness with each other. In spite of these changes, women still face many difficulties and obstacles(障碍) due to traditional roles and limited economic strength. In addition to fighting against the old ideas, the effort should be made to awake women to the prejudice(偏见), and encourage women to build their independent careers and realize their full potential. No doubt, women still have a long way to go in their struggle for complete equality with men.
