Recent years it has become a prevalent phenomenon that more and more college students have developed the habit of using the credit cards instead of the cash. College students could easily be spotted in the banks or beside the ATMs almost anytime, with various kinds of credit cards in their hands.

When it comes to the reasons for the prevalence of the credit cards among college students, the key factors should be related to the advancement of the ways of transaction as well as the students' increasing consciousness of dealing with their money in a fashionable and modern way. Compared to the traditional way of making the transaction in cash, the advanced transacting way of using credit cards has its overwhelming advantages, such as the convenience, efficiency and swiftness, which greatly contribute to its popularity among college students.

However, being warmly welcomed by the students doesn't mean that the credit card is perfect; in fact, it still has many deficiencies, of which the most troublesome one might be the problem concerning security. Every year, the number of the students who suffer the loss of their money resulting from the secure problems of credit cards is indeed astonishing and alarming; and here I simply put forward with several brief suggestions for college students: first, make sure that your credit card has a really safe code; second, make sure that nobody is around you when you are making the transaction with the credit card; last but not least, always make sure that you've kept your credit card in the safest place, and you should report the loss to the bank as soon as possible when you find it missing.
