Job Description Position description
The role of the Shell Ethics and Compliance Office (SECO) Projects Manager is a new role in SECO. The role will be responsible for setting up and managing projects for new Group Ethics and Compliance tools and future development of existing SECO tools such as the Code of Conduct register, Screening services, Tools to automate the training nominations for E&C training and Management Information portals for the Businesses and Functions to easily access their risk and compliance status
The Business Project Manager will support the Ethics and Compliance programmes and stakeholders. The Programmes include Data Privacy, Trade Controls, Antitrust, Anti-bribery and Corruption and Information Classification. Where required the Business Project Manager will work closely with the SECO Programme Director and the relevant SME to address any programme gaps and develop supporting processes and systems where necessary.
The Business Project Manager also will work closely with Information Risk Management ( IRM) to support the embedding the Ethics and Compliance requirements in information management and system controls across the Group.
Accountabilities
Leading the set-up and delivery of SECO projects
* Leading the definition, capture and documentation of the business requirements
* Providing effective leadership and liaising with the IT project management, delivery and support organisation
* Identifying, assessing and managing risks
* Ensuring that realistic plans are prepared, managed and maintained
* Providing regular and accurate reports / updates to stakeholders as required
* Assisting the user community in the provision of transition support / change management / planning, training design and deployment activities
* Facil itating and managing the interface between SECO and IRM.
Ensuring effective processes and systems are in place to assure and improve compliance areas in key programmes and supporting systems and tools including:
a) Privacy and Data Protection
b) Information Confidentiality Classification
c) Anti-Trust
d) Trade Controls
e) Anti-bribery and Corruption
Ensuring that adequate metrics are being captured to analyse the effectiveness of risk mitigation through the relevant programmes and tools
Position description - Dimensions
Annual budget or financial business dimensions that the job either directly controls or indirectly influences:
a) Mitigation of risk of non-compliance, reputation damage, fines and remediation costs which are potentially in the tens of millions of dollars
Special Challenges
To demonstrate knowledge of the legal and regulatory risks that impact systems and broader information management activities.
To develop simple and standardised solutions to information management issues in Ethics and Compliance in partnership with IRM to meet compliance and Code requirements.
To ensure adequate resource commitment is directed to implementation and compliance given competing work agendas.
To identify opportunities for (1) integration and simplification of compliance requirements and (2) embedding requirements into existing business processes
Experience and Qualifications required
· Understanding of systems and controls
· Awareness of the information management risks that are covered by the Code (e.g. Information Security, Export Control, Antitrust, Intellectual Property, Disclosure and Business Communications)
· Experience in a complex and or global business environment and operations.
