Why was Chinese civilization, between the first century B.C. and the fifteenth century A.D., so much more efficient than the West in applying human natural knowledge to practical human needs? In other words, what had happened to explain why this lead never led to“modern”science in China?
Why did modern science, especially the mathematicization of hypotheses about Nature, with all its implications for advanced technology, develop only in the West at the time of Galileo?

为什么中华文明之间的世纪，公元前与公元15世纪，那么多西方高效的人类自然知识运用到实际的人的需要？换句话说，发生了什么事，解释为何这会不会导致“现代”在中国科学吗？
为什么现代科学，特别是关于自然假说数学化与所有先进技术的影响，只有在发展西方在伽利略的时间？
