whatsoever是whatever的强调形式,并且用法比较正式,大都用来加强否定句的语气,其作用相当于at all.
e.g.I have no money whatsoever.
whatever在肯定句中用作定语时,一般放在他所修饰的名词前.
e.g.Give me whatever books you have on this subject.
还是有一些细微的区别的,在口气上,和用词位置上
Whatever, you shouldn't talk to him. 无论如何,你不应该和他讲话.
You shouldn't talk to him whatsoever. 你不该和他讲话什麽的.
whatever 和whatsoever 在这两句里的位置是不可以互换的.
