In the field of sociology, study of country and peasants has greatly deepened. My hometown, the JinDong Forest Farm of the city of Yongzhou in Hunan provience, is a remote forest region. Up to the year of 2002, it is still a country area simply specialized in managing Forestry and Agriculture. Since 2002, the entering of the tourist industry has been transforming the economic structure, social structure etc. of JinDong Forest Farm. The famous socialist Fei XiaoTong once said “Wealth can’t go without industry.” The spring-up of the tourist industry gives ways to the prosperity of “industry”. But can it stand up saying “Industry will bring people wealth”? Now, it has been five years since tourism came to this region, and how it changed during these five years? From what aspects does tourism affect the appearance of country? This thesis is going to analysis this question from both macroscopic and microscopic way. In the macro part, the vicissitude on the social economy of the industrial structure, employ structure, rural-urban structure caused by the intervention of the new economical factors will be discussed. The micro part will focus on the vicissitude of the inhabitants’ social stratum structure following the changes of the economy mould. By bringing together 20 individual case who are from different social profession, the author figures out that social capital factors, such as a person’s original social position, social relation etc. affecting to their adjust of social position in the new economic structure.
