The service station provides advice and mediation services to the Chinese business exhibitors. This, on the one hand, will acquaint them with the local laws to ensure better protection of intellectual property rights and, on the other, help strengthen such rights. Communication and exchanges between the right holders and Chinese exhibitors can go a long way in settling properly IPR disputes. A series of IPR cooperation projects, as is represented by the service station, has played an important role in enhancing cooperation between China and Europe and facilitating business innovation through concerted efforts. For this, I wish to express our thanks to the European Commission, European Patent Office and the IPR2 for their effective support.
