“平原”：《圣经》中明确记载的最少有三个：
1、示拿平原：（创世记11:1~5）在这里建造巴别塔，为要传扬人的名，高举人的权势，人的地位和人的荣耀。
2、所多玛平原：（约旦河全平原，创13:10~13）引诱神的儿女，陷在罪里。
3、杜拉平原：（但以理书3:1）尼布甲尼撒王把大金像立在杜拉平原，叫全世界的人都来拜像，这个杜拉平原在末世，敌基督者出现以后还会再出现。
