对于平行光是发散，但看物体的反射光不是平行光，正是这种发散，导致成像位置显得更远更小，视角就更大，视野就开阔了，和猫眼是一个道理。
也用光路可逆来分析。
眼睛当成光源，那么发出的光经凸面镜的反射后，到达的区域比同样大小的平面镜大，所以这些区域物体发出的光也能到达眼睛，所以凸面镜观察范围要大。
