Where I’m from
You are like a piece of white silk, or a cup of green tea.
You were the capital of China one thousand years ago.
You are called the City of Paradise on the earth.
You are my hometown, Hangzhou.
Spring, the wind blows. Willows turn light green to the dike.
Summer, the sunlight shines. Pink lotuses cover the West Lake.
Autumn, the leaves fall. Scent of osmanthus diffuses the city.
Winter, the snow flies. Plum flowers blossom along the sides of streets.
In the weekdays, I go back home by walking.
The way from my school to my home is short.
Some old people are chatting about their family.
Some students are drinking milk tea.
The road is busy.
Young people go back to their home by car or bike.
Noise of the crowed street never ends.
On weekends, I often walked in the city alone.
Watch the skyline which is covered by skyscrapers.
Walk along the wide avenues, and through the pedestrian streets.
The relaxing atmosphere was created.
The sunset dyed the rim of sky to orange, and red.
Evenly, I seemed to forget to come back.
