对于英语四级，我觉得，你没有必要去了解多少词汇，这不是最重要的，因为即使英语四级需要的几千词汇你都掌握了，你也不一定能通过，四级不是单用来测试你词汇量的，是测试你大学最基本的英语能力的，所以听力和阅读是最主要的，当然它们都是以词汇为基础的~
如果你不是英语专业的，只是为了通过考试，我教你个方法，买一套真题，里面是每年的四级真题，切记是真题不是预测题~认真的做每一套题，阅读里面不认识单词不要紧，重要的是把每一个你不认识的单词都摘出来，结合参考答案和查阅字典，把真题里你不认识的单词都掌握了，你四级就差不多了~
英语四级考试时万变不离其宗，真题做多了你会渐渐有感觉它有很多题都很相似。从题中记忆单词，同时练习了真题，一举两得~
资料：作文考前多背一些句型，例句，四级作文基本上都能用上的。
