Mrs.Mills goes to Lodon.she doesn't know London very good,and she loses her way.then she sees a man near a bus stop."I can ask him the way,'she says to herself."Excuse me ,'she says,"can you tell me the way to King street,please?'the mansmiles.he doesn't understand english!he speaks German.he is a tourist.then he puts his hand into his pocket,and takes out a phrasebook.he opens the book and finds a phrase.he reads the phrase slowly.'I'msorry,'"ido not speak English.'米尔夫人去伦敦。他不知道伦敦是座非常棒的城市，而且她迷路了，这时她看见汽车站旁站着一个男子，“我可以向他问路”她自言自语道。“劳驾”，她说，“能告诉我去国王街该怎么走？谢谢”，这个男子笑了，他不懂英语！他说德语，他是一个旅游者。然后他把他的手伸进兜里，掏出一本《英语通短语手册》出来查询英语句子。他缓慢地读着查到的句子：“对不起，我不懂英语。”
