Which Is More Important,to Develop Industry or to Protect Cultural heritage? Friends,have you ever been to the Yungang Grottoes that lies in Datong,Shanxi Province?It was first built in the North-wei period and is the well-known art treasure in the world.It's really a good place to visit.But to our disappointment,with the development of industry of that area,more and more industry dust are released that covers the Grottoes and corrodes it,and the valuable treasure is being damaged. To my mind,to protect the cultural heritage is first,and to develop industry is second.For the cultural heritage is the treasure that was created by people and has been kept for thousands of years,it has great value.Onced detroyed,it's impossible to make it again.For the reason,we should take some measures to protect the Yungang Grottoes.All factories should be moved out of the area.

As we all know, the Yungang Grottoes built in the North Wei dynasty,which is now lying in Datong of Shanxi Province is widely accepted as world-famous art treasure.Unfortunately,it is suffering damages in recent years by plenty of industry dust which is eroding its Buddhist images . Then the issue of whether we should put the protection of cultural relics into the priority over industry development or not occurs to us .Different peole have different oppinions .In my eyes ,we can never take the two extrems for both industry development and cultural protection are important for us .And reasons are obvious.First,cultural heritage through thousand years is valueless and it can be never compensated again once damaged.Also ,It can promote the local trurism and bring employment opportunities.However, industry is significant as well not only due to the employment but also the local long-term economic strength.Therefore ,they are all important. In my oppinion,if the local govenment take proper rugulations to prevent polution ,they can enjoy industry advance and cultural relics at the same time .
