以学生身份发一封email 给DR.xx，先祝其圣诞假期快乐或者新年快乐，内容大致是说我没能定上开学前的机票，（机票很紧张）感觉非常非常抱歉。然后将于2月11日下午到达学校。（请求原谅之类的）要求：正式一点，然后表达很客气，很抱歉的情绪，无字数要求括弧内的可写可不写谢谢谢谢谢

First may I wish you all the happiness and prosperity for the New Year!

Please accept my sincere appology for being unable to arrive before school starts since I failed to book an air ticket for which demand is fairly huge. I promise that I should show up in the afternoon on Feb. 11st.

Dear Dr XX, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. (建议只用Happy New Year，因为一般一起祝圣诞和新年都是在新年没过之前用的。) I'm very sorry that I could not get the ticket from XX to XX before Feb 11th, when I tried to book the tickets XX days ago, there was no seat available, so the earliest ticket I can get was the Feb 11th and I will arrive the university by the afternoon. I know that it is my responsibility to be on time, I'm very sorry for that. Please accept my sincere apology. Regards XXX Semester XX

Respected Dr. XX, I am YY of Semester XX. First of all, I hope you are having a pleasant and joyous Christmas and New Year holidays! I had not been able to get an air-ticket, due to holiday travellors, before the opening of the new semester, and will be back on 11th February. I am so sorry for it and do hereby appologize to you.
