随着社会的的迅猛发展,世界已逐渐变成了一个“地球村”,各国之间的交流与合作日益增多。而作为世界通用用语言之一的英语,在日常生活中扮演着愈来愈重要的角色。都说学习要从娃娃抓起,要想学好一门新语言,关键在于是否打下坚实的基础。在我国,英语教育起步比较晚,基本上是从小学才普及的,然而小学这个阶段也正是培养一个好的思维模式,行为习惯的重要时期。
长期以来,传统英语教学以老师为主导,注重“填鸭式”教学,课堂以老师讲述为主,学生缺乏独立思考的机会,更难有开口说的机会。因此缺乏使用语言的社会背景,一旦遇到交际场合,这种语言学习中的弱项便立刻凸现出来。很大一部分教师在教学过程中只是为了完成任务,并没有很在意课堂氛围以及学生的及时反馈。而我此论点的目的,首先是让大家了解生动的教学环境比起死板的“填鸭式”教学优点在何处,其次是提出具体的操作方案来提高教学质量,增强教学效果。据资料显示,我国小学阶段教科书共安排了500左右的单词,然而每个学生平均掌握的单词量也就在300个左右,为什么单词量如此之少学生还是记不住?原因就在课堂效率不高,学生记忆不深刻,大多数学生只是在课堂上蜻蜓点水,一下课就把课堂上的内容忘得一干二净。在越来越多的英语学习者中,少儿英语成了中国少年儿童走进英语世界的金钥匙。
作为一名即将走向社会的小学英语教育者,我认为小学英语的课堂教学效果十分重要。传统的“填鸭式”教学只适合大容量教学且对学生年龄也有较高的要求。小学生自我约束力不强,注意力不够集中,十分容易走神,传统型教学往往只对少数自控力较好的学生起作用,大多数人都只是被动地跟学,很难对英语产生兴趣。在此,我也针对目前现状存在的问题以及如何有效地解决问题提一些浅薄的建议和方案。
