iOS - Apple, iPhone, iPad, iTouch
IBM CIO & Tivoli are working aggressively to address significant gaps in iOS which challenge deployment of IBM internal access to these devices. Until these gaps are addressed, iOS access to the IBM network is restricted. (Note - These restrictions do not apply to other mobile devices that are running the IBM security profile. e.g. See Android section above.)
Step 1 - Install the ST ios Client from the Apple AppStore
Search for and install the IBM Sametime client from the Apple AppStore
Step 2 - Setup and run Sametime
1) Start the ST client.
2) You will see a wizard, helping to setup your connection, enter the following parameters:
Name: A name for this community, e.g. IBM Sametime for Mobile
Host Server: mobile.us.ibm.com
Port: 15001
Secure Connection: ON
User ID: Your IBM intranet ID
Password: Your IBM intranet password
Remember Password: OFF indicates that your password is not saved and that logins will require you to enter it each time
Connection Type: Authenticating Proxy and set Reuse Credentials to ON
Photo Port: 15002
Enter your IBM Intranet ID & Password (IIP) and select NEXT. The client should then be setup and it will log you into the Sametime servers.
