回答太复杂，看着都头晕吧，其实这几个代词目的都是为了避免语言重复，我们简单一点来，：
one 用于指代同一类事件中的另一个，如i don't like big apple, give me a small one.
ones 与one 相似，是指代同一类事物中的多个，如i don't like big apples, give me some small ones.
the one 用于指代上文所提到的同一个事物，是特指。如
this dictionary is very useful. the one i used to use is lost. i'm going to buy another one. 句中的the one指的是之前一直用的那本,后面的one是这种类型的书的任意一本.
the ones 和上面一样指代上文所提到的那些事物，复数形式出现较多。
所以基本上你只须记住单数的用法就可以了，另外的只是它的复数形式。
