Shelf Life Expiration Date: How to Maintain?

Hi SAP Fans,anybody can advise me how to maintain the Shelf life expiration date check for materials in a plant? What are the pre-requisites? Any configuration required? Appreciate your help, thank you.regardsPP_Analyst.

Hi Guys,I still don't understand how the Shelf life Expiry Date works, may I know what is the Min & Max Number of days of shelf life, according to this setting how the system will alert the buyer / planner?I have a requirement: I have a material's stock in storage location, the shelf life is going to expire on 30th November. Based on this information, how my buyer can procure the material and should be immediately available from the vendor by 1st of December.Is there any Purchasing based on Shelf Life Expiry of a Material possible in the system? If so what are the settings to be maintained? Please help, appreciate your sharing of experience, thanks.regardsPP Analyst.
