现在分词作结果状语

现在分词跟主语是否活着没有关系，有关系的是现在分词动词与逻辑主语（通常是句中谓语动词的主语）是主动关系还是被动关系，如果是主动，用ing,如果是被动则用过去分词。
你这句话的leave其逻辑主语是mother, 两者是主动关系，所以用leaving.

He stood by the window, expecting his son to come home. (he was expecting his son)
被动关系：
