My Home Town

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

Along with the advance of the society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is wasting food. As college students, we have the responsibility to do something for it.
随着社会的发展，越来越多的问题引起了我们的注意，其中一个就是浪费食物。作为大学生，我们有责任为它做点什么。
Wasting food is not only an immoral behavior, but also pollutes the environment. So, we should form good habit to solve this problem. We can start from small things, such as, don't order more food than we can eat, eat up all the food in the bowls and so on. At the same time, we shouldn't eat junk food but healthy food. It’s good for our health to have a balanced diet. In order to our healthy body, we had better eat in school or at home as soon as possible.

THE VALUE OF TIME An English proverb says that time is money. I consider it (this) wrong. Why? Because we all know that we can earn money be work but can not in any way get back time (in anyway). For this reason, we may (can) say that time is more valuable than money. Many people do not know the value of time. It (this) is indeed a great pity. We must bear (keep) in mind that wasting time is equal to wasting your life.

Nowadays computers are widely used in our daily life ,which has brought us too much convenience. We can do many things on it both for pleasure and for work. Students can solve problems with its help. We can also listen to music or see films on it . However it also has some disadvantages. First spending too much in front of it will certainly do harm to our health. Second playing games on it too often will affect study. So we should make proper use of it in our life.共89个词。

nowadays,many children are very intersted in computer games. some of them play games for so long that they become near-sighted. some are so addicted to computer games that they pay no attention to their study. children should figure out how to avoid the bad influence when they play games. first, they should not play computer games for too long in order to preserve their eyesight. second, they should realize that games are a kind of entertainment which should not take up much of their time. in a sum, children can make a balance between studying hard and having fun on computer games only if they could make a reasonable schedule of study and games.
